Annual refresher training for your first aiders
You may have also missed the HSE notification that the HSE now 'strongly recommends' that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year FAW/EFAW certification period. It is not mandatory as first thought, but a strong recommendation, due to the difficulty employers find releasing staff for training.
To solve this issue for employers, we are just about to launch a First Aid Training DVD, that will cover all the topics of the EFAW or FAW course. The DVD will allow you to pick and choose the areas of most relevance to your business or where the first-aider feels their personal knowledge needs refreshing.
